About
Is your God a man? Jesus was…
Do you really know what the Trinity says about God?
Welcome to my personal journal, a study of religion. I would claim Christianity as my religion from which I came, Presbyterian/Baptist to be exact, but at times I feel like a doubting Thomas; I would say that my beliefs are more in line with Judeo-Christianity, God being One God. I started to ask myself whether or not I believed that God was a man. The more I looked at the idea, the more pagan it seemed. I want to Challenge your faith, so that you might grow a better understanding. All too often I see people believing in a faith which they know nothing about. How can people believe in what they cannot explain, Daniel 2:47. I have a thirst for knowledge and the truth. I desire to grow a deeper understanding while cultivating a closer relationship with God. At the same time I am seeking to know Jesus, to learn of his teachings, and what the Bible tells us in honest truth. I believe in keeping an opened mind for the truth will present itself.
John 12:49 (New Century Version)
“The things I taught were not from myself. The Father who sent me told me what to say and what to teach.”
Hosea 11:9 (New Century Version)
“I am God and not a human;
I am the Holy One, and I am among you.”2 Corinthians 5:19 (New Century Version)
“God was in Christ, making peace between the world and himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And he gave us this message of peace.”
Ephesians 4:6 (New Century Version)
“There is one God and Father of everything. He rules everything and is everywhere and is in everything.”
Revelation 21:23 (New International Version)
“The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”
I ask that you come with an open mind and give an analytical opinion. I hope to develope a site that challenges one’s faith and fosters thinking and forcing one to investigate what they really believe in. I also hope that the site will help Christians to defend their faith by looking into their beliefs and the evidence of Christ. But I also hope that this site raises some serious issues. Some of these questions that I propose take a serious investigation into understanding the Bible. I will be putting up some challenging and debatable questions and materials. To help put things in perspective I will try and provide information from both sides as long as they remain consistent to the Bible. I believe that all teachings from the Bible held in context can be used for the edification of man, thus I’ll provide some of my favorite Christian materials and teachings. I hope that you enjoy the notes throughout my journey and I look forward to your comments and discussions.
God Bless us All,
~David Rankin

Glory be to God, through his Son Jesus the Christ.
Ps> Do you really know what your Church teaches? I’ve seen the effects of brainwashing and it can really be shocking to ones faith. Because of this, I believe it is important to go back to the Bible which says, “But test and prove all things [until you can recognize] what is good; [to that] hold fast.” Thessalonians 5:21 (Amplified Bible). Does your church or “beliefs” challenge you to test your faith? Does it tell you what’s considered acceptable literature? Does it tell you that the truth will be known by a good feeling? Are your beliefs and church’s doctrine in accordance to the Bible? Is your church history constantly changing to fix corrections? What did the original founders say, are their statements still held truthful? These are just some of the questions to ask.
I hope that you take the time to discover the truth; it could mean your salvation.
Or Better yet, Invite someone to the site!
